SuperSteer Contest

SuperSteer Award is designed to find the steer that best combines live placing, carcass, and rate gain attributes.


For Amador and El Dorado Counties, the contest is weighted as follows:  


Live Judging Placement 45%

Carcass 45%

Rate of Gain 10%


For exhibitors in Sacramento County, the contest is weighted differently due to the fair not having a pre-weigh requirement which determines the rate of gain. The Sacramento County contest is weighed as follows:

  

Live Judging Placement 50% 

Carcass 50%
